Service — AI Consulting & Strategy

Know where AI creates value
before you spend a dollar building it.

Strategy grounded in engineering reality. We start with your business, your data, and your constraints — and work backward to the technology that actually fits.

Use Case Evaluation Criteria

Business Impact

Time, cost, or revenue the use case affects

Data Feasibility

Do you have the data to make this work

Technical Complexity

Architecture scope and integration depth

Organizational Fit

Will the team that needs it actually use it

Strategy That Ships

Not a slide deck.
A system you can build against.

Everyone has an AI strategy now. Most of them are a list of tools someone saw online, a vague mandate from leadership, and no clear connection between the technology and the business outcomes that actually matter.

Our engagements start with your operations, your data, your team, and your constraints. The output is a concrete roadmap that tells you which AI use cases will generate measurable ROI, what infrastructure you need to support them, and in what order to build them.

We're not a consulting firm that hands you a strategy and walks away. We're the engineering team that builds what we recommend. That changes the incentive structure entirely — we don't propose things we can't deliver.

What an engagement looks like

Five ways we
structure the work.

01

AI Readiness Assessment

Before recommending any AI initiative, we evaluate whether your organization can actually execute on it. We assess your data infrastructure, existing tech stack, and the people who would use AI outputs daily — not just leadership. The result is an honest assessment of where you stand and what needs to happen first.

Who this is for

Four starting points.
One honest conversation.

Whether you're evaluating AI for the first time or recovering from a failed initiative, the starting point is the same: an honest assessment of where you are and what it takes to get where you want to go.

01

Leadership teams evaluating AI

You've been hearing about AI from every direction. You need a structured evaluation of where AI fits in your organization, what it will realistically cost, and what you can expect it to deliver. Not hype, not fear — a grounded analysis you can make decisions against.

02

Organizations that have tried AI and stalled

You ran a pilot, built a proof of concept, or purchased a tool and it didn't deliver. Maybe the data wasn't ready. Maybe the use case was wrong. We diagnose what went wrong, salvage what's usable, and rebuild the strategy from a solid foundation.

03

Technical teams that need an outside perspective

Your engineering team is capable but doesn't have deep AI expertise. You need someone who has built production AI systems to evaluate your approach, pressure-test your architecture, and identify blind spots before they become expensive problems.

04

Companies about to invest significantly

You're planning a major technology initiative and AI is a component. Before committing $500K+ to development, you want an independent assessment of feasibility, architecture, and vendor selection from people who don't have a product to sell you.

Engagement structure

What you get
and when.

Engagements are scoped to your situation — from a focused readiness check to a full strategic roadmap.

TIER 012–3 weeks

AI Readiness Assessment

Stakeholder interviews, data infrastructure review, process mapping, and a written assessment with recommendations. Covers where you stand today and what needs to happen before AI delivers value.

TIER 022–4 weeks

Use Case Identification & Prioritization

Workshop sessions, use case scoring across four criteria, ROI analysis, and a prioritized shortlist with business cases. Produces a ranked list of AI initiatives with clear reasoning for each.

TIER 034–8 weeks

Full Strategy & Roadmap

Readiness assessment, use case prioritization, technology evaluation, data strategy, phased roadmap, and success metrics — all in one engagement. Delivered as a working document, not a slide deck.

TIER 04Monthly or quarterly

Ongoing Advisory

Check-ins for organizations executing their roadmap. Architecture reviews, vendor evaluations, progress assessment, and strategy adjustments as business conditions evolve.

How this is different

Engineering reality,
not consulting theater.

We build what we recommend.

Most consulting firms produce a strategy document and hand it to your internal team or a separate development firm to implement. We deliver the strategy and execute it. The same engineers who assess your data and design the roadmap are the ones who build the systems. Zero translation loss.

We start with business outcomes, not technology.

We don't walk in with a solution looking for a problem. We don't push specific LLM providers, cloud platforms, or frameworks. Every recommendation is derived from your business objectives, and every technical choice is justified against those objectives.

We give you honest answers.

Not every organization is ready for AI. Not every use case justifies the investment. We'd rather lose an engagement by being honest about readiness than win one by overselling and underdelivering. Our reputation is built on results.

We quantify everything.

Every use case we recommend comes with a projected ROI range — estimated implementation cost, ongoing operational cost, and expected business impact. Every phase has defined success metrics. You know what you're spending and what to expect before committing.

Common questions

Straight answers.

They'll give you a strategy. We'll give you a strategy and build it. Our recommendations are grounded in engineering reality because we're the team that has to implement them. We also cost a fraction of what a Big Four engagement costs, and we move significantly faster.

We work alongside them. Our role is to provide the strategic framework, evaluate approach, and fill capability gaps. If your team has strong modeling skills but limited production engineering experience, we focus on deployment architecture and MLOps. If they have infrastructure but limited AI depth, we focus on use case design and model selection. We augment, not replace.

No. If an off-the-shelf tool solves your problem well enough and the economics make sense, we'll recommend it. Custom development is the right answer when your requirements are specific enough that no existing product fits, or when the competitive advantage of owning the system justifies the investment. We have no incentive to push custom when buy is the better answer.

Access to your key stakeholders (operations, engineering, leadership), an overview of your current tech stack and data sources, and a willingness to be honest about what's working and what isn't. We handle the rest.

Yes, and it often does. The roadmap is designed to be immediately executable. If we're the right fit to build the first phase, we can transition from strategy to development without ramp-up time. If you want to take the roadmap to another team or build internally, the deliverables are designed to be self-contained and actionable.

Figure out where AI fits — before you build.

If you're evaluating AI but aren't sure where to start, what to prioritize, or whether your organization is ready — that's what this engagement is for.
